| Oops I did it again. A couple of years ago, I brought my CBR1100 into the shop because the steering was off. Turns out the steering head bearings needed to be replaced. This was not good because (1) I was a new trackday addict; (2) this was the only bike I had; and (3) a trackday was in two days. To make a long story short, I bought a brand new 954 so that i wouldn't miss the trackday. Baketech was in the shop when i made the purchase.
Well, this past week, I walked into a local shop here in indianapolis. I have always wanted an RC51, but I have never been in the position to buy one. In the corner, was a used 2004 Nicky Hayden replica. It had 297 miles on it. I walked around, hoping to shake off the temptation. I searched for reasons to walk out of the dealership. However, I knew if i didn't buy . . . someone else would. It was in beautiful condition. So, with checkbook in hand, a grin on my face, I bought it. I now have an RC51. Oh yeah!! |

A Nicky Replica - You gotta post up. | My bad. It is not a replica. it is simply the signed version with the racing stickers. Cool looking none the less. |

| Re: Oops I did it again. The dip **** salesman quoted me I believe $11,??? OTD and the dumbass Manager tried to justify the price. I told both to go get F-----.
The manager even tried the angle of "It's a Nicky Hayden edition" I told him too bad Nicky Haden did not ride the RC in 04'.
Hate to thread jack your thread but as you can tell I hate Bloomington Power sports. |

| Re: Oops I did it again. No problem. I agree with you. I've never bought a bike from that shop. The prices change depending on the day you go in. I bought this one for $8900. |

| Re: Oops I did it again. Every 2004 RC51 was the "Hayden edition". There was only one color available. It was up to the customer to put the stickers on or leave them off. Well, I'm sure some dealers put them on and overcharged for it, but it should have been left up to the customer. |

| Re: Oops I did it again. The dealer invoice plus the average cost of a mechanics time to get it out of crate, build it and set it up is a hair over 10K, based on 2004 pricing. I would imagine 10,400 or 10,500 would be an acceptable out the door price on a leftover 04 RC51, but for the dealer to try and get 11,500 for it is a bit steep I think. 11,500 for an 06, but not the 04. |
