| Re: For Sale: 2004 RC-51 Update pics and mileage as of 9 May 06.
Normally, I keep her even cleaner. The left side is as pristine as the right. I suck with a camera and the pics turned out pink due to the sunlight.
Two pics include the only marks I know of on the bike. One is a chip in the carbon-fiber hugger behind the exhaust (stone chip .) The other is a mark on the mirror stalk that she's had since new. I think the dealer did it pushing bikes around the showroom. |

I am thinking about putting Aratas on my RC got any sound CLips or Dynocharts.
Do you know how many ponies you gained and can you try to describe the sound compared to Satos or Moris????
Any help would be apprechiated. I am putting the PC3 on and dunno what pipes to go with.

Sascha | Sascha,
I love the look and sound of the Aratas. Before and after pics and sound clips here, although you really need to hear them in person. Arata
PC3 is a must and I will most likely have it put on a dyno in order to get a custom-map, but I will not have a base line to compare it to. HP gain wasn't an issue for me. Do a search, but I believe if you truly want HP increases you should be looking at a full system.
I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people. Most swear by the Satos and absolutely love them. I wanted to be a little different and the quality of the Aratas was reportedly second to none. I am very happy with my choice.
Good luck! |

| Re: My 2004 RC-51 - No Longer For Sale Thanks DUX those clips did it for me Arata it is and I agree regular Ti not the Black. Arata has Shortie pipes that resonate A LOT more engine sound but I am wondering if that might just be a tad bit too much. Do you get hassled by the man with you setup??
Any fix it Tickets?
Thannk You again and I will post pix as soon as its done. |

Thannk You again and I will post pix as soon as its done. | No tickets so far, but I'm careful about not making a lot of noise in crowded areas or neighborhoods.
The Aratas have a nice rumble without being obnoxious. IMO I wouldn't want a louder pipe. I wear earplugs 99.999% of the time for wind noise no matter what bike I'm riding, but sometimes I'll stop when I'm 5-10 miles from home and take them out just to hear the RC.
