Life expectancy of an RC51

Hello to you all,

Let me introduce myself first... My name is Ivan and I'm from Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro. I'm 27 years old and like you fellow riders, motorcycles are my greatest vice Almost everything I earn goes to bikes, one way or another...

So back to the topic. I own a VTR SP1 (2001) with around 25k miles on it (40 000km) and the bike runs just fine, dont get me wrong. I've done the flapper mod and mounted full Leo Vinci exaust (bike sounds excellent now) and I'm planning to go for PCIII and KN air filter. BUT, I'm a little worried whether I should do that, since the bike has fair amount of kilometers behind its back...

So, I know the HRC story behind the bike, but how strong and long lasting is it?

Thanks!
Ivan

There are people out ther with 60k+ miles on their, so no worries. These Hondas are built like tanks! I would recommend the PCIII, but stay away from the K&N filter. THey've been shown to actually hurt performance on the RC. Stick with OEM filters for her and you'll be fine!

Also NEVER run any engine out of coolant and clean oil is your friend. This is true for any engine.
