Question with vacuum lines.

I have put in a thorsten airbox and a new snorkel, my question is about the vacuum lines for the intake system. I have removed the vacuum tank and left the two lines that come from the tank open. There is two lines that connect to the front throtle body one is very small and has its own port and the other is twice its size and connects to a fitting that runs to the back throtle body. Im wondering if I need these lines or can they be disconnected or do both of them need to be plugged? I belive the small line came from the diaphram on the old flapper and the larger hose was connected to the solenoid that goes to the vacuum tank. The airbox I put in did not come with any provisions for either one of these hoses so If I dont need them it would be nice so I dont have to drill any holes in the box. Any help would be great...
