Ladies and gents,

I own a 04 rc51 hayden replica over 21,000 miles with no issues. A week ago i went to my friends place to go ride and when we left there bout a mile away the fi light came on and off and the bike started bucking/surging from fuel being cut on and off. Long story short after checking the charging system and found it to be lacking, honda shop found the stator good,rectalfrier good, but the battery had a bad plate inside that must have come loose and was causing micro disconnects of power that was freaking the cpu out and causing to to think the bike was being turned off and on real quick... it would idle fine but as soon as revs came up it would shake the plate in the battery and start fooking up. also the lights were flickering at idle, so if you have any symptoms of this issue /may seem like the fuel injection but it could be the battery.

Ive been a mechanic by hobby and have never seen this, first for me. dealership warrantied the battery since it was stock. my cost $86 for labor and having the whole system checked out. Since new battery no issues.

if they covered the battery under warrenty, why would they not cover the diag?

dealerships you know how they go.. it wasnt much and allot of the stuff i requested to be done, but im just glad to be on the road again.

that could very well be some of the issues im having then...mine arent as sever though but my 01 has the original battery but it has acted as though the battery was disconnected and reconnected intermitently at times when trying to start it once in a while

well heres an update, i found that the battery pos terminal was broken and was being held in place by pressure and it acted up again but i fixed it this time, now my problem is an intermittent charging issue, and i have to deal with that now.
