Re: MICHELIN POWRE PR2

The last few sets on my RC51 have been the Power Race PR2/PR5 combo, which is a soft/medium soft setup. Incredibly good tires, in my opinion. Very sticky, predictable, and with decent life. I usually get three fairly intense trackdays out of a set.

three?

that's very impressive. How many sessions do you get on a typical track day? I ask because I used to fry a set of tires in one day - two practice session and two races...

The newer tires are pretty incredible, with both great stickiness and great life. Most trackdays I'm getting 6-7 sessions at 1/2 hour per. The last couple of trackdays have been at Miller (which has a newer surface), which should be harder on tire wear as well.

Track days typically tend to be slower paced than races though.

Re: MICHELIN POWER PR2

The track bike I just bought has Michelin PR's on it that went through a race weekend, ridden by one of the top AFM riders. They definitely have some wear but at least another day or two of life in them, easy.
