Re: best price on galfer wave rotors

What's the differnce between 'Galfer' and 'Braking' brand wave rotors? They look the same, if not identical to me.

I've noticed that 'Braking' are cheaper, but they're still used by the race teams.

Thanks in advance.

If you're impatient, you can just call. Everytime I've called, Todd himself has answered the phone.

As I was told by Sandro at Galfer, they hold the patents but sold rights to Braking to sell the rotors as well. Braking does undercut their prices a touch, but they are the exact same rotors from both.

Get your rear rotor machined. It is lighter, cheaper and looks cooler.

Re: best price on galfer wave rotors

Thanks for that. I thought that might be the case.

I actually ordered some Braking wave rotors. I don't need the Galfer name in order to save some money!

Cheers.

Interesting, as I got just the opposite information from Braking. Their wave rotors predate Galfer on the market by at least one year and according to Braking, they license the technology to "several other manufacturers" . . .

are the braking front rotors full floaters?

I did not see that listed in their writeup on Indysuperbikes...

Re: best price on galfer wave rotors

I've installed the Galfer one's a few weeks ago. Cal sport bikes had them on sell. Great service and they came with a new set of pads. Performance is top notch.

Re: best price on galfer wave rotors

Have a look at this Ebay Power Seller. That's an awesome price! Send them a question to see if they can get you a pair of 954 rotors. You'll need new pads too. I suggest the Galfer HH sintereted model.

eBay Motors: Kawasaki ZX6R ZX6RR 636 Braking Wave Rotors NINJA 650R (item 140102734447 end time Apr-06-07 13:49:21 PDT)

Or these guys:
Pricing

I ordered my Braking wave rotors from the UK, but got my rear wave rotor and pads from Indysuperbikes Give them a call on the Galfer products.

Cheers,
Sime
