Need Help with paint ideas for Race Bike

Hey everyone, I am making this thread in hopes that you can help me come up with a paint scheme for my RC51 track bike(pics in gallery). Right now the tail and the tank are stock paint scheme, the upper/lower is all black. What Im trying to do is come up with a nice paint job and not paint the tail or tank, and I dont want to replicate the stock paint scheme.....are you guys up for it? I put a picture of the bike's stock form to use as a template. Thanks in advance for your creativity!!!!!!

I'm in the process of doing the same for myself and a buddy.

What colors? Any specific logo's or images you have in mind? Shoot em to me.... I have a lot of schemes that I'm working on, but I can always help a man out with something more specific to his needs.

I saw an RC51 that was painted exactly like that one (RC30 colors), looked nice.

Those are great ideas but I dont want to paint the tank. Im trying to come up w/ something to incorporate the stock paint on the tank but something different that looking completly stock. This is one idea I came up with....what do ya think, Im not the best of doing the photo thing but you get the idea

Without painting the tank you are limited. Here are few varients of white. You can go to Tapeworks and pick up the wing, that way you don't have to paint the tank.

It's been a while, but last time I did I saw one that had a minor dent on the right side for $150. For a track/race bike as long as the internal capacity isn't affected, I'd take one with some blemishes.

Exactly, the bids that I was making on the Ebay tanks were above $300.00 and have some type of dent or ding(which needs to be fixed), then add the paint/supplies cost 100+ and the cost of spraying everything where I can get the supplies/paint plus having them sprayed for a total of $150.00.

Same Colors, but the tank is painted. Painting the tank isn't a big issue. If you don't intend to ride on the street with this bike again, then it might not be a problem. With my last bike, I painted the street plastic to match the track plastic. It made for more of a unique bike on the road.

Maybee Ill get the o.e plastics painted to match..thats the main reason I didnt want to paint the tank. I will for sure consider this one, thank you.

O.K. I droped off my plastics on Friday, so I should get them back today so I can stripe out the designs.......I will post up some pics of the finished product. Thanks again to everyone who helped me...

So just to update, I couldnt find anyone to spray my bike for a decent price so I'm going to break out the paint guns and spray this thing myself....Ill post up some pics when I'm done. Ive already primerd and striped it so It should be about 3-4 days for the three diffent colors plus the clear due to all the re-striping but im pretty confident that It should come out pretty nice...Crash thanks again for the paint idea just so anyone else is looking to have something like that painted your looking at about 550-1200$ depending on whom you take it too..I might do some side jobs if anyone is interested and already has a design in mind....or Just ask Crash he will cook up something very origianl for ya!!

Cool. I paint my own too. The 929 ran me about $300 for material. I used more than I should have but it was fun.
