Hi guys!

My name is Ivan and I'm from Belgrade, Serbia (SouthEast Europe). I've been following this board for a while, but I was mostly just reading your posts... Definitelly I want to thank you guys for lots of great advices I picked up here

Ok, now to the point. I have a 2001 sp1 that needs a new air filter. So far I've been usually using OEM filters, but I'm thinking about KN now, since it can be easily cleaned and reused... However, I've heard that OEM filter might be better than aftermarket air filters (BMC, KN) for an RC51...

What is your experience with air filters? What's your advice?

BTW, I have high mount Leo Vince exaust (race cans - very loud ) but don't have PC yet... I'm still thinking whether I really need it...

I do not have a RC personally but my buddy does and he has done a lot of research on his bike. go to ROGUE RACING RC51, CBR1000RR, 919 & GSXR1000 Resource Websites there is an article there showing a loss of power on aftermarket filters for the RC51

hey pablo, welcome to the boards... stick to the stock filters, there are some mods you can do to them, check out rc51.org... also, there's another board you could check out thats full of good info, Speedzilla Motorcycle Message Boards - powered by vBulletin
