Slipper Clutches

All,

Thankyou, for your kind welcolme to the forum and all your advise which is very helpful.

My next question as detailed above is regarding slipper clutches. recently seen an advert for an aftermarket one for the SP1.

Has anyone fitted one to there RC and what do they think?

Cheers

Re: Slipper Clutches

I have one in mine and it helps for the track. I should add though that I have a bad habit from dirt tracking of downshifting and dumping the clutch to start the back around. I can still chirp the back but it is hard to do. You can get the same effect by modulating your clutch.

I believe there is two types. One is a spider spring (my type) the other a ramp type. The spider spring is a wear item and the ramp may be better though I am unsure.

Thanks,

The one i've been looking at uses the ramp technology. Was it much trouble to fit??
