| Need at Atlanta area Repair Person - Just Bought a RC51 on Ebay that needs work. Hello rc51 newbie here, I'm new to this forum and also new to rc51s. I bought one on ebay a couple of weeks ago – it needs some front end work. It was is a low speed tangle with a stop sign before I bought it. Cracked a number of items; front fairing, headlight, etc... Any the guy I bought it from thinks that the triple trees are bent, I can't tell really from riding it. They may be slightly skewed to the right, also I think the fork seal in the right side is leaking. I would like to find a non-dealership repair person in the Atlanta area to get it checked out. I've already order new triples, fairing, headlight etc... What to find some one who can check/reseal the forks professionally without getting the stealership hit. I don't mind paying just would rather trust a repair shop rather than a dealer. Many thanks for you thought and suggestions! BTW - I'm coming from a harley to the rc51, never ridden anything other than beuls as far as sport bikes go so I'm not sure how the rc51 should feel on the road. |

| Re: Need at Atlanta area Repair Person - Just Bought a RC51 on Ebay that needs work. Re: GMD, I'm not sure where they are located. They come to some of the track days at VIR. I had them do some work on my bike earlier this week while there. They are very thorough and really helped me out with the complete chassis and wheel alignment and also suspension set up. They helped my RC hold a line in the corners far better than what it had been doing and also determined the hatch marks on the swingarm for wheel alignment were nowhere close to even. Good luck. |
