WTB a 5 spoke RC51 front wheel

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here had an RC51 5 spoke front wheel they would be willing to sell.

Thanks,
Tom

Re: WTB a 5 spoke RC51 front wheel

Tom,

You can get the wheel new for just over $400 from Zanotti Motor. I bought a new SP1 wheel when I did my 954 conversion on my 900RR. You never know if a wheel has been repaired before when you buy used, and considering all that a front wheel has to do, I believe it's not worth the risk.

Your call however. Used are about $200-250, and for a little more you can get a perfect brand new one.

Cheers,
Sime

Re: WTB a 5 spoke RC51 front wheel

BTW Tom, just an FYI....

2000-2001 'SP1' = 6 spoke wheel
2002-2003 'SP2' = 5 spoke wheel

Cheers,
Sime

Re: WTB a 5 spoke RC51 front wheel

I appreciate the help guys, but what Sime said, I need an SP2 5 spoke, so that it will match my VFR 800 5 spoke rear. Thanks again

Re: WTB a 5 spoke RC51 front wheel

Tom, I have the 6 spoke SP1 wheel on my front, with the 5 spoke VFR800 rear wheel. It looks fine. I didn't like the SP2 wheel as the spokes were flat.

Perhaps you shoud consider bidding on the one currently on Ebay?
