| How much should I pay for an '06 RC51? I'd like to trade my '03 CBR600RR in for an '05 or '06 RC51 with zero miles. Preferably an '05, but I don't know if I can do that. Does anybody know if the dealerships are still selling the '05 models and how much I should pay for it? |

| Re: How much should I pay for an '06 RC51? Any dealer willing to "deal" can get one from the warehouse. I'm not sure what is still available stock wise. |

| Re: How much should I pay for an '06 RC51? Freshly uncrated, an '05, I would say, should be no more than $8000.00, and say $8500.00 for an '06...This would include set-up, first service @600 miles, and a helmet or jacket (textile -not leather). |

| Re: How much should I pay for an '06 RC51? Have them throw in parts for the bike (exhaust, rear-sets, windscreen, Scotts Damper, Power Commander) the stuff that counts. I would assume the you already have a LEATHER jacket and a great Helmet RiGhT?!?!? |

| Re: How much should I pay for an '06 RC51? Everything is relative(cash vs. financing; 2005, 2006). But I think you should be able to get something. Give this a try. Ask them if you can see their dealer invoice on the bike you are buying and tell them that you just want to be sure that the bike is worth what you think it is in the Wholesale market. I have managed to pull this one on two local dealerships after a lot of begging and negotiating they showed me their invoice. That way you knoe how much they are making off you and then when they say they can't go any lower in their price tell them you want the equivalent value in goods.
You have nothing to lose and an Exhaust to gain (at least a slip-On)
Good Luck |

| Re: How much should I pay for an '06 RC51? PS they will only negotiate on bikes that are cramming up their floor space i.e. 2005 models. |
