Power Commanders

Do power commanders for this bike make that great of a difference in fuel usage and power in take off? If so which is the best?

Re: Power Commanders

it will make a night and day difference in throttle response,
it will remove the lugging, jerk at low speed in low gear
depending on map and how you ride it will lower fuel mileage
it brings the bike to life IMHO

Re: Power Commanders

I never used a PCII, PCIII to compare, but the PCIII-USB has the Accelerator Pump feature that when enabled, allows you to adjust perameters to give the bike a little more fuel on hard throttle bursts, deleting flat spots. I noticed an immediate difference in my bike in throttle respose and that low-end jerkiness was gone. It has a pretty green light that moves when you rev the bike too...... it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.............

You won't regret it..... It wakes the bike up, similar to the gearing change from the stock 16/40 gears. It also goves the bike a smoother power delivery, through the entire RPM range, with the proper MAP. Power Commander provides MAPs and a few others can be found at various RC51 sites, or by asking other members what they use.

Re: Power Commanders

Cool I appreciate the input guys. I just added the scorpion slip ons to my bike and man I do regret not going full with it. I actually could tell a huge difference in power not to mention the roar it had. The torque didn't go up much but it seemed that in short the acceleration was a huge difference. Looking forward to returning home and adding that to my 51 thanks!!
