i dont make a living on a bike you're right. but i still like to know what could be optimized so i can ride it better. that is how one becomes so skilled that they make their living doing something we all wish we could do for a career. when i have a question. i ask it.

A fireblade is a faster bike... but the RC51 is a more aggressively styled bike... and rare!!

Where I live im the only person with one! EVERYONE stops and looks while its parked up, or stare as I ride past. I got my RC51 because its rare... theres countless Ninjas and R6s, fireblades etc etc... I wanted to be different. And with a bit of tuning it can really shift!

Honda RC51-the unbelievable Project

Thorsten Dyrbahn's Missile
A 153kg dry RC51... Specs include: Milled and turned aluminium front forks, 320mm PVM discs and PVM Titan four-pot calipers monoblock with Brembo-Master, carbon fairing, cable clutch conversion, Ohlins bespoke shock, PVM mag-wheels, HRC pistons and rods, balanced crank, HRC valve retainer, std valves modified for less weight, HRC valve springs, HRC ECU, HRCcams with HRC kit SP2 injection manifold, primary and clutch-gears ground from 17.5mm stock down to 12.5mm, lightened shiftdrum, ported heads. Carbon/Kevlar fueltank, carbon subframe, tail section and hangers, carbon airbox, custom titan exhaust.

153kgs.... wow!!! Plus I wonder how much BHP is coming out of that thing!

But even in stock trim.. trust me you will love it!!! Id give you a try if you wanted, you would have to come to Italy tho! hahahahaha

Keeping up? I gave an R1 a run for his money the other week. He had me on the straights but when it came to corners I had him... perhaps its just cos I was a better rider than him... or a worse driver willing to take more risks and lean my bike that bit more *shrugs*

trust me... an R1, ZX10, Fireblade etc wont leave you behind! And my RC51 tops out at 275kmph so its hardly slow. And I have raced a Porsche GT4 from standstill from the traffic lights and I left him WAY BEHIND!!! And I didnt have great tyres at the time... I had harder tyres as im planning a road trip to Ireland riding through Germany, France, spain, back up thru france then up thru england then into scotland then accross to Ireland, then a more direct route back..... so gonna stick a few kms on her and dont want wear out my soft sportier tyres.
