Applique Carbon Fiber looks cheap and tacky, which is a terrible thing to do to an iconic bike like the RC51. Leave that kind of stuff to the Suzuki riders of the world. But hey, that is JUST MY OPINION as I stated before, not a personal attack towards you.
You can get a fender from a fireblade (exactly the same) from a wrecker or ebay for about $50, or you can take it to a paint shop and they'll charge you very little or you can get a spray-bomb from Honda ($15) and paint it yourself. There's also people selling real carbon fiber fenders on fleaBay for less than $250. |

After market stuff is not usually the same fit and quality (there are exceptions). But anyways, I wasn't thinking race homologation 1098R, I was thinking more along the lines of LA yuppy owned Monster. You won't see them on the roads though, you'll have to look for them in their natural habitat (parked in front of Starbucks).
And as far as I can tell, the 1098r doesn't use carbon fiber looking vinyl appliques. |

| Re: RC51 Pictures By Owner IMHO Fake carbon fibre is on the same level as fake air scoops and almost as bad as a rear deck spoiler on a front wheel drive.

They sent me a Red Front Fender instead of the 05 grey/black one. Thought it was poetic.

Glad hear you weren't hurt or anything. |
