| RC51 Pictures By Owner Hello guys.
Anyone on this forum that owns a RC51, please post a picture(s) of it here. I would like to see an array of the different kinds of things RC51 owners does to their bike, and the many mods they might have.
Anyways, I just like to stare at the RC51. |

Reminds me of a story.. a guy meets this sweet girl, falls in love with her. He has to win her fathers approval to have her. So the father has an idea.. the guy should work for him for seven years to "earn" her as his wife. After working seven years, the guy ends up getting tricked and has to work another seven years to get her. Some who are wise may recognize the story. |

I guess I am very wise. | Fiddler on the Roof ripped off the story from the Bible. Jacob had to work for Rachael and Leah. |

| Re: RC51 Pictures By Owner If I was rich I would just mail you a plane ticket. I don't think that my problem is a lack of know how really. I just don't have time and I'm sure having some experience would speed up the process.
I worked on cropdusters for five years so I have done a lot safety wiring. All of the bolts were pre-drilled though. I am going to start on my bike the minute school is out for the summer. I just want to know if there is a way of holding the bolts while I drill them that doesn't leave nasty marks on them? It seems like clamping them in a vise would leave a lot of undesireable marks on the edges? |

Eastwood makes jigs that hold the bolts/nuts to drill them, that make life a little easier as well. The caliper bolts I drilled with the threaded portions in the vice. Most of the other stuff you can actually drill ON THE BIKE, if space allows for a drill to be in the right position. I love to do stuff to the bike, so time wasn't an issue, but I can see how it may be for other people. |

| Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll just deal with the marks. I love working on the bike. Even when there isn't anything to do I like to find something to clean or torque. I rebuilt an engine on a truck once just because I got bored. But with the school schedule I have those days are kind of a thing of the past. I did a "try the track" program last weekend and I'm hooked so I have to get this thing wired and prepped so that I can do a couple full track days this summer.
P.S. - Where did you get those mirror block off plates?
