Re: 1/6th Turn throttle, HRC kit

I had to use a new throttle cabe with my HRC kit it has to be longer due to the throttle tube roller design.

I got the kit and it comes with a new cable you also need to grind the ball on the other cable to fit in the tube. My RC is almost 100% track and I REALLY like the new throttle (hamfisted on the street could get you sideways though)

i enjoy street riding and obviously do that more often so im anxious to see how touchy its going to be. especially since the "skill" im trying to hone most right now is proper trail-braking. since i dropped a tooth on the front sprocket its much easier but with a quicker throttle only time will tell i guess.

Re: 1/6th Turn throttle, HRC kit

The HRC throttle kit includes the newer, larger diameter cammed throttle tube, housing and one, longer cable. (the one without the adjuster)

There's another kit going around being sold by Scott Gage and maybe others, (Scott is "CBR400RR" at Speedzilla), that is the throttle tube only, and enough slack can be obtained from your stock throttle cables, to make it work. No need for yanking the airbox to do a cable swap.

i think that this kit is the "scott gage" kit. the guy said something about slacking the OE return cable. thanks for all your info guys.
