What color red on a 03' RC51
I went o my local powder coating company and gonna have about 8 parts done in red. But we must have looked at 20-30 swatches and samples and nothing matches perfect the red on my 03'. One or two were close and i might go with them. But I was wondering if there was a pefect match for honda winning red in powdercoating?

Anyone have anything done in red? If so what did you use?

Nope but thanks. In paint, I have exact colors for the bike. Just not in powder............

I almost think I'm gonna start powder coating myself. Could get a decent size oven and a gun for like $600-$700! This powdercoating place is easily gonna add up to $800 just for the powdercoating. Maybe its time to try my hand at it!

I hear it's pretty simple. You're biggest challenge would be stripping the parts of all their previous finish before powdercoating. You might want to look into media-blasting. It works awesome and doesn't harm the part. Sand blasting is slowly becoming a thing of the past.

Eastwood auto supply sells powdercoating equipment. i think. I'm sure there are many others out there too.
