Swing are swap out?

I have heard that a swing arm from a 954 and an RC will interchange. Is this true? Would there be any advantages or disadvantages?

I've never heard that. I don't think it will work. do some measuring and see if the mounting points are the same distance apart and also find out if the axle is the same diameter.

Re: Swing are swap out?

Remember that there are 2 different RC swing arms, with different mounting dimensions/spacers/etc. So you want to measure up the right one

Off hand, I wouldn't see any advantages ... not knowing the real differences anyway.

Then just pull the RC one, measure them up and see what fits

You might be able to compare measurements without pulling the one from the RC, but I'd probably be able to take it off easier than finding tools to measure it. I would think differences would be in the mounting (easier to see maybe), and in the shock linkage assembly. Also look at any offsets from the frame to where the sprocket would be.

Are you going to take the black off the frame too?

Re: Swing are swap out?

no im going to leave the frame alone. I talked to a guy today that said even if they would change that i still have the better swingarm already, so i guess im going to see if i can find someone interested in a trade because i dont want the polished look. i like the brushed or matte whatever you want to call it.
