Undertail wiring help

I got an undertail with integrated tail lights, it has a black, yellow, blue and red wire and the instructions don't say anything except about splicing them into the "controller" (I am assuming load for the turn signals), but I didn't get a controller with it.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar undertail and knew where the wires went?

Try using a 12 volt battery and testing wich wire does what. I would assume black for ground, and red for stop, the other two turn but I can't figure out what to use for running, that might be what the controller is for.

Re: Undertail wiring help

black should be ground, 1 should be for turn signals (shouldn't be a running because they are integrated in the tail light) 1 for running brake light and the other should be brighter for stopping.

I also need to know what each wire does on the harness.I know for the turn signals solid wire (no line) is running for the turn signals. I am gonna guess the line is a brake light too by that.

Re: Undertail wiring help

I got to thinking and being that it requires a controller the yellow/blue are probably turn, individual directions, and then both get juice for brake. when I said running I didn't mean marker.

Re: Undertail wiring help

The lights are one of those with the turn signals in the brake lights.

I touched the wires to the battery and the yellow is turn signals, blue and red are both brake lights, I am assuming it doesn't matter which one is connected where, just when both have power (you are ont he brakes) it makes th elights brighter.

I had the wires just put in the connectors (the ones that went into the light bulbs on the tail lights) I am not sure if it is just because those are usually for light bulbs or what.
