My new ride

Here she is....

A 2001 with 6K km's on the odo. Bone stock except for flapper mod and Mori exhaust.....for now. Any suggestions on gearing? I use this to commute and that first gear is so tall that it's killing my left forearm clutching in and out constantly, especially around corners. I've got a nice stretch of highway on my way to work but even at that, I still don't get into 5th or 6th much. Was gonna slap a PC3 on it but when I put the pipes on and did the flapper mod, the 6800km hiccup pretty much disappeared. Still worth the small investment for a PC3? Any other mod suggestions (yeah, yeah, I know...there's so much to do and so little time)....

Re: My new ride

welcome to the world of the VTRSP1 or RC51 as its known in your neck of the woods. The PC3 is always a good investment for this model as it smoothes out the torque curve from bottom to top, especially on this model of honda. Lift up the tank and rip out the filters and use a dremel to cut away the mesh from around both of them and then replace them. There is a website to go to that can help you alot, ROGUE RC51 Owners Group of United Enthusiasts . I have pics in my gallery to check out for cosmetic upgrades but for other ideas someone has posted a question for other ideas and the replies are pretty impressive and helpful. Good luck mate.

Re: My new ride

15/41 or 15/42 gearing is the popular thing. i personally run 15/40 and i think its fine. definately scap the stock filters and get a pc3.
