Need new exhaust system--advice needed

So, after a sad road incident (other person was at fault), I am now looking to get a new exhaust system. The bike is a 2000 RC51, with the PC3r and a full SATO titanium low mount exhaust. I was going to go for the carbon fiber SATO exhausts, but, unfortunately, it seems they have stopped manufacturing the full systems, at least for the older (i.e., 2000-01) bikes. They do have the slip-ons, but the slip-ons don't seem to simply slip onto the full system because the current mufflers are soldered onto the header--there does not seem to be a way to simply slide the mufflers off and put on the slip-ons (although one could possibly cut the existing mufflers off and weld the slip-ons onto the header?).

Do you have any idea if there is any way for me to get a full SATO system from anywhere, or if it is possible to reuse the headers from the old system and simply add the slip-ons? I am partial to the SATO system because I love the sound it produces, and it also (according to the "other" RC51 site) produces the most mid- and top-range power.

If I can't get another SATO system, what is the best current exhaust system for my bike--cost is not a concern since the other guy will have to pay for it.

Thanks!!

M.

This is the first Ive heard that Sato did a full system for the rc so I'm sure that you wont find another one, but if you have the stock header than I would just get a new slip-on system. Im sure you can modify the header you have now and just get the mids and cans from Kyle racing, but either way you will need to get a slip-on set up.

Check with Art at www.10bomb.com. Not Sato's but he has some left over LeoVince full systems that he is giving a great price on. Aluminum and Ti. Quick, before they are gone.
