vtr sp1

hello people,i have a problem with my sp1. has a power comander, yoshi pipes, and hi flo air filters. was all dyno tuned. the problem started recently.went for a ride and going around left hand sweepers would start missing, nothing to major (water in fuel maybe) but has been getting worse.to the point where the bike will just stop. FI light comes on, need to turn key off then on again to reset. put meths in fuel . seems to cut out around 4500-5000 revs. some one sugested battery, but it still starts bike even when sitting for a week. any ideas

It only does this when turning left? Sounds like the bank angler sensor (tipover switch).

Re: vtr sp1

Does it just shut off instantly or does it lose revs first below 1000 then die?

Re: vtr sp1

it's okay now discovered the problem. wires running down left side of frame under tank were being crushed by tank. when putting pressure on left side of tank wires were shorting. when tank was full it was worse and when turning left and hanging of bike it would happen but shes all fixed and going great again
