heli rise bars

has anyone ever rode an rc with any rise bars. the heli bars raise the height by 1.5" and are an 1" wider.I have heard that it increases the comfort level on most bikes, just have never heard about them on an rc.

Re: heli rise bars

I was going to get a pair of heli bars for mine but could not get past the $200 or whatever price tag. I bought a pair of Kawasaki 636 clip ons for $29 on eBay. They made my bike a bit more comfortable, but probably not as good as the heli's do. The 636 clip ons are both taller and wider than the RC's.

Re: heli rise bars

They both use 50mm forks so its pretty easy. The only thing I had to do was trim the little guides off the headlight switch and kill switch. Also you wont be able to use the c-clips that snap around the forks, which the stock clip-ons rest on. Other than those two things I'd say its pretty straight forward. I had them on in about 20-30 minutes. At first the bike felt REALLY weird, but now that I'm used to it, I wouldn't go back.
