| Re: OHLINS SUSPENSION 1. Turn your caps off. We can hear you.
2. Have you set your sag yet?

| Re: OHLINS SUSPENSION If you set your sag then your pre-load should be set. That's what your pre-load is for. As far as compression and damping that is individual rider feel. If it is diving when you brake then you would increase front compression and rear rebound. If it is squatting when you accellerate then you do the reverse a little front rebound and rear compression. If you have separate high and low speed compression adjustments then you would use your low speed adjustments for those. High speed compression is adjusted for soaking up the rough bumps. According to Traxxion Dynamics the high speed adjustments on the Ohlins shocks are notoriously inneffective. If you only have one compression adjustment on your shock and fork tubes then it is a compromise between controlling squat and dive or soaking up the bumps.
Remember that "high speed" and "low speed" is in reference to the speed at which your wheel is traveling up and down when it is acted upon by an outside force such as a pothole (high speed) or accelleration (low speed). How fast you are actually going is mostly unrelated, although because the forces increase with speed everything has to be set firmer for high speeds or track use than it will be set for everyday riding.

| Re: OHLINS SUSPENSION With +$3K in suspension I would suggest spending a small amount more and having a pro set it up (at least for the initial settings). If this is a track day bike there is frequently people at the track that will do it for a fee.
Another suggestion. Before you have anyone set it write down the current settings. Do the same after they set it. That way you can always return to your base settings.
Also the base settings from Ohlins are likely a good start point. Though 3 lines sound wrong for RTs so double check that as front end height will make a big difference.
Further recheck steering head bearing and it's torque.

| Re: OHLINS SUSPENSION as far as that info i understand it. but i still feel as if the bike is still to high in the front . the lines im refering to are not the preload lines, but are the lines on the top of the forks on the outside tubes. |

| Re: OHLINS SUSPENSION You could always drop your tubes a little in the triple clamp. That would drop the front end a little w/o affecting pre-load.
I'd follow sheep's suggestion, take it to someone who know's what is up.
I talked to a trackside susp. guy for about 7 min and he helped me a lot.
