RPM of diminished return on your bike?

I'm looking to get into a newer bike with more displacement, maybe a v-twin, maybe and inline, but definately 900cc++. I can't ask which is better because its all subjective... but this quetion would actually help with my wants. My 600 is very forgiving when it comes to full throttle in every gear, except 1st where a hard roll-on lifts the front at 9000 rpm on smooth flat ground (2nd through 6th can be flogged at will). Stunt bikes aside, what is your bike, and at what RPM's in which gears do you find you have to slide off the throttle to keep the front end down on a roll-on(no blipping to wheelie, we can all do that!). I've ridden other peoples twins and inlines but not hard enough as I would ride it if it were mine, so clue me in to the limits you've found and help me figure out what to go with.

I have never tried what you are asking but I think from third up on my 1000 keeps the nose down as long as no clutch is involved. Now if there is a dip in the road...that's another story.

My 954 in first gear will begin raising the front end on hard rollon's around 6K RPM. By 8.5-9 I either must shift to drop it or, add a little rear brake to bring it down. I know just how the Lone Ranger felt!

Re: RPM of diminished return on your bike?

Ok so from what I gather here, inline 4's around 1000cc's tend to lift up from a roll on around 8-9k in 1st and second but stay relatively planted in thrid unless something spits them up.

What about the v-twins. As I wrote up in the 929 category, I had the front wheel come up on me in second while exiting a corner... I didnt catch the rpm but it didnt seem rev'd out - of course it redlined much lower than I'm used to so it never seemed rev'd out.

Re: RPM of diminished return on your bike?

Hello,
I have about 8300 mi. on my RC and the only time i have felt the front lift is during red light shifts from first to second and second to third, other than that it behaves during normal riding.
