How do you check the codes?

Which wires do you have to jump to check the code that is beign tripped? My FI light has been coming on lately and it seems to be getting worse, it doesn't cause any problems, but it on and worries me.

There is an empty plug under the passenger seat, with 1 green and 1 brown wire. Jump the wires and turn the key on. Count the long and short flashes of the FI light.

If you search for FI - there is another thread on here that explains it in better detail...

Re: How do you check the codes?

Well, it was 1 long and 1 short,t hat =11 and that is the speed sensor and or connections.

Is the speed sensor known to go out on these things? I had to replace the speed sensor on my F4i, but I can't afford to on the RC. Anyoen had this problem before and know where it is located? The bike is geared so the speedo is off, would that cause it?

I don't think that would cause it.

I didn't think so either. The Speedo isn't acting funny or anything, the light just comes on when I am riding fast, or at a constant speed for a while (anythign above 60) aroudn town when I don't go that fast it doesn't come on.
