| Switchind odometer from mph to kph Just trying to find out if anyone can suggest who I can get in touch with in regards to converting the odometer. I have an American 2004 RC51 and need to swap the odometer to kph for a transport Canada inspection. Is there a program for the computer, or is the a way to swap it over at start up... I would appreciate any help or suggestions, or links cheers, Scott

| Re: Switchind odometer from mph to kph press and hold the little black button on the side of the dash for a few seconds, it will toggle it back and fourth between MPH and KPH.
once it is toggled to KPH though, i dont know if it will stay set once you turn the key off. it may defualt back to MPH when turned off
BLUEGUAGES.com can convert it for you as well
i have a canadian bike and the canadian models do not toggle between the two, theya re at KPH only and i live in the USA so i found a gentleman that lived in the netherlands that had a US spec dash and wanted a KPH only dash, so we swapped even up. only bummer part of the deal was he got a lower milage dash than i got, so my bike reads alot more miles than it actually has
BUT. if you know the exact milage of the bike and sign a "release" blue guages can also set the odometer to be accurate as well. but you have to assume full responsibility for the milage if you sell the bike. thats what the release is for that they make you sign |

| Re: Switchind odometer from mph to kph It should stay in the mode you set just fine over a key off. |

| Re: Switchind odometer from mph to kph Thanks guys, holding the black toggle down while the odo is in mileage mode it switched to KPH. Just what I need for my inspection!! It's nice talking with fellow owners, two different service techs told me I would need to replace the cluster at $700.00, it would have been cheaper to payoff the inspector ,kidding.... cheers, can I download an owners manual frow any where?? scooter |

| Re: Switchind odometer from mph to kph go to speedzilla and do a search for "service manual download" there is a thread near the top that has a link to download it in PDF format, but be forewarned, it isnt a small file

| Re: Switchind odometer from mph to kph On my 954RR clocks, there is a button you can change between KPH and MPH... Ive heard that some clocks dont toggle between the different readings, is there certain places around the world that are locked?
You think $700 is alot for your clocks...? The Hornet 919 were about £700+VAT for the whole cluster, luckily i only had to buy the main parts (£500ish)
Take care |
