Leaking Coolant!!

Hello everybody! I have a 2003 RC that I have had for around eight months. Just recently it has been leaking coolant like crazy. I will only be riding for 15 minutes or so and temp jumps to around 223-229, then pops back down to 219-217(city riding). I will stop, and about half of my coolant will just dump out and drain from the bottom of my fairings. This has happend 4 times, and a little coolant leakage here and there. I have done nothing differant to the bike and have had it at two differant shops and they have no idea. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank ya guys.

Re: Leaking Coolant!!

I would check the radiator cap as the temps you mentioned are normal.

Where is it leaking from? You need to find the source. Could be just a loose hose...

take off the fairings, dry any wet spots, ride till it leaks, locate source, determine remedy (replace hoses, cap, etc...)

Re: Leaking Coolant!!

Over here we have blocks you can break and add into your rad, its called stop leak. It helps seal small holes, but by the sound of yours, you may have a hose off or similar?

Try out what DVIII and Red Rider says, might be a simple fix
