51 Engine Bore/mods???

What's up all! Finally I found a site that discusses the 51!! YEA!! I have a bone stock 02 that I've owned since new but due to extenuating circumstances I haven't been able to ride it or anything for a couple years. That's all about to change. But over the winter I wanna do some mods.

I know about PCIII, flapper mods, pipes. I've also heard about high compression pistons and boring it out? Has anyone done this, or know anything about this? What about cams? Is anything for internal engine mods available and if so where do I go to get them?? Thanks anyone for any input.

Re: 51 Engine Bore/mods???

gday mate. I hope you have fun over the winter period. Go to www.roguerc51.com and check out all the tests they have done and compare the results. I have a magazine of when they first released these bikes and they tested 1 standard with PCIII and 1 with moriwaki cams and pipes and the dyno was overall in favour of the standard. unless you're after a land speed record, change the front sprocket down -1 tooth for even more pull down low with front lift, or -2 for permanent air. It will save you thousands.
