| Installed new brake pads - now no brakes I installed new pads all around on my RC. The front brakes are better than ever. For some reason the rear brakes are not working. I removed the caliper twice and it appears the cylinder is functioning. I also made sure the pads were seated correctly. |

| Re: Installed new brake pads - now no brakes I bled the brakes, several times, still the brakes are very weak. I rode it to work today, I switched back to the old pads in the parking lot. I will see if its better on the way home.
When I took the new pads off I noticed they were not wearing even. One side had rub marks on the top of the pad, the other side had rub marks on the bottom. |

| Re: Installed new brake pads - now no brakes maybe the piston is askew? try taking off the brake fluid cape and pushing the piston all the way into the calliper. |

| Re: Installed new brake pads - now no brakes Well the old pads just made it worse. I guess I must have somehow forced a massive amount of air into the system when i pushed the caliper cylinder back. I'll have to bleed the system again and might try to use a power bleeder. Its such a PITA when something so simple to do takes so much effort...
Everything's normal!
I'll also try the trick mentioned by ole gravey leg, sounds like that might be it. |
