RC51 Gearing Question

I am thinking about either dropping the counter shaft sprocket by one tooth or adding two teeth to the rear on the RC-51 but I have a question. I tried the counter shaft sprocket change on my VTR and simply ended up going deeper into the gearbox and shifting more. I went back to stock as the gearbox seemed to match better with the torque curve.

I am openly questioning if I will end up with similar results with the RC-51. Can anyone give a bit of advice here. The bike is a canyon carver but will not be visiting the track. I do use the torque curve alot when riding with my inline 4 buddies. Many Thanks for any input.

Re: RC51 Gearing Question

Go with a 15/41 set up, you won't regret it.

Re: RC51 Gearing Question

Id say go with the 15/40 setup. I was running 15/43 on mine for the track and loved it, but i wasnt caring about gas mileage and things like that.
