Electrical question...

Hi all, I asked a question about excessive battery drain involving too many accessories in another thread.

I'm planning on getting a voltmeter so that I can keep track of my battery and rectifier but I was wondering...

My 749 once up and running held between 13.5 and 14.2 volts, with my radar detector and gps running. I didn't used electric clothing with the bike but I was told the 749's system can handle the extra draw so long as the volts don't dip below 12.0.

- Since I currently don't have a voltmeter on the bike, at what range does the RC normally operate?
- In amp/volts, how much do I have to play with on the RC?

Thanks
