WTB: RC51 street or track

Wanting to buy a RC51 ( SP1 or SP2 ) set up for street or track. I'm looking for a RC to use mainly for track days and the occasional Sunday ride. Preferably one that the motor hasn't been opened up. Looking if there is anything out there in the 3,000 to 4,000 range. Doesn't have to be pretty. Again, mainly for track days. Please contact me if your looking to sell.

Thank you,
B
Nashville, TN

This is copied from the Cornerspeed forums. If you're not familiar, they run track days at VIR. No idea if the bike is sold or not, but you can check it out if you wish. I'm no expert, but 3-4 k is probably not a realistic price to pay for an RC. But you never know... (bike was/is located in Salisbury, NC orginally posted in May of 2007)

http://www.cornerspeed.net/forums/te...icon_quote.gif 2004 RC51 track ready. New Pirelli Corsa III tires (1 track day), safety wired, pro-painted bodywork, woodcraft clip-ons, Yoshimura exhaust, PowerCommander III USB, frame sliders. Body kit was custom made in Europe and weighs less than 7 lbs total (front only). Tail section is by Hot Bodies. Adult owned, low miles, salvage title. Bike is mechanically perfect, straight and runs like new - no issues. It has been low-sided once at Kershaw - but suffered only cosmetic damage to the left side of the bodywork. It has been repaired, but its not cosmetically perfect. Pics available. Bike is red/black with white number plates. Asking $5000 Serious calls only please. 336-402-4072 cell (before 10pm)

Re: WTB: RC51 street or track

I just want to thank all who have helped me with my pursuit of finding a RC51. I ended up purchasing a 2000 RC with 12,500 miles and basically stock other than the Moriwaki exhaust. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of questions and again thank you all for helping me with the search.

Sincerely,

B
