oil consumption....

oil consumption....

Hi everybody...i have one question....Did you noticed ANY oil consumptions on your rc-51'S ?? Well..on my bike i have noticed that 0.4ml of oil is missing..on 6000 km...Is that normal...or i should start tio worry..?? Oh...i forgot...i use CASTROL POWER 1 10w-50 motor oil....Bike has 38.000 km...Tell me a litlle about it....but TRUELY....pleaseee....

0.4 litter per 6K KM sounds just fine.
It mainly depends on how rough are you using it.
High speed high RPM high tempurture will result on higher consumption.

Obviously the oil type has substantial impcat here - fully synthetic oils
will generaly have substantial lower evaporation at high tempratures than say
miniral based (or semi-synt.) oils.

In general large diameter cylinders tend to consume more as it is harder
to keep the tolerances small - engineering wise.
