Headlight Woes

One of my headlight bulbs went out. Easy enough to replace, right? Should take 5 minutes. While putting the new bulb in and applying pressure to the metal brace that keeps the bulb in place, the brace pops out, bulb falls to the ground, and the metal brace falls through the headlight hole is now inside my headlight. Guess it's time to take the front apart and hope I can get it out.

Re: Headlight Woes

Once I dropped the battery terminal bolt but didn't hear it hit the ground. 1 hour later I found it wedged near the sidestand.

Re: Headlight Woes

try using a flexible magnet to retieve the metal clip rather than taking everything apart.

Re: Headlight Woes

I was at Home Depot and picked up a retractable magnet for $10. It's fancy, with a swivel flashlight magnet on the end. Took 2 seconds to get the clip out and I was able to put the new bulb in and finish the job..finally!
