Re: NEW TIRES

Best tires? They are all good. It's preference based on your riding style. I like maximum grip and use the Power Race 2CT combo using a 190 rear. Just be careful warming up the tires or riding in cold temperatures.
Very good rubber, neutral steering , predictable and fast, fast fast . I canyon carve this bike, no freeway use or commuting as I am lucky enough to have other stallions in my garage for that job.
If you are into lots of multi use, look for another tire...........cd

Re: NEW TIRES

Thanks for all your help. I picked up a set of Michelin PP 2CT's on Saturday. I went with the 190/55 rear since everyone seems to speak highly of it. The weather here in Detroit sucks so I haven't been able to test them out, but hopefully soon!

I bought mine with a 20% off coupon and since no one could seem to get them in the country, I feel they were a steal for what I paid with that discount.

Re: NEW TIRES

All major brand tires are a good bet.

For me, I prefer Continentals. I've used both the RoadAttack (Sport Touring tire with legit high performance) and the ContiAttack Race at the track. I've loved them both.

The RoadAttacks had almost no warm up time, handled quite well. They were a little heavier, but confidence inspiring to say the least. Got almost 8k miles on them.

The ContiRace's were terrific. Turn in was lightning quick and warm up was minimal - even in cold conditions when I ran them at Pridomore's STAR School last month. They are still currently on the bike, but not seeing much mileage due to the weather.

If I had to choose, I would opt for the RoadAttacks for everything but the track and the ContiRace for the track, of course!

Oh yah ... the prices are pretty good, too!
