Front end squeak

Hi guys, first post on the forum as I only picked up my 2003 sp2 a couple of weeks ago.

My bike has developed a squeak everytime I back off the gas. I've tried rocking the bike to see where the squeak is coming from but it doesn't do it unless the bike is moving.

Any ideas what to check?

Re: Front end squeak

, i would say to check ur brakes, chain and sprockets. Is the squeak a constant one when rollin or is it just as you let off of the gas?

Re: Front end squeak

I didn't think so, but it was the only thing I could think of that would do what he describes.

It would be that your throttle tube and cables need a little lube.

Re: Front end squeak

Guys,

Thanks for your suggestions but it was actually the flapper valve, I removed the vacum pipe and the squeak has gone.
