Under hung caliper kit

I just got the prototype done for the SP1 and I will be picking up the first aluminum SP2 bracket today.

Here is a pic of the SP1 prototpye made with 3D Solid works and a 3D SLS machine, it has been angeled forward 1" moving it closer towards the bottom of the swingarm.

Less weight, easier tire changes, cleaner look, better braking control and your moving the weight of the caliper down around 8" and the billet bracket is around twice as strong as the stock cast unit.

I'm shooting for around $300.00 shipped for the kit. You get a brand new Brembo rear twin 32mm piston caliper, new rear pads, Galfer rear steel braided rear brake line kit in your choice of availible colors, billet black anodized underhung caliper mounting bracket, instructions and free shipping in the continental USA.

We are also going to be doing the same thing for the Honda CBR600RR and CBR1000RR too.

Around a half pound and if you get a special Galfer rear wave rotor which is 3/4lb lighter than stock you can drop a good amount of weight. I also make a coil upgrade kit that drops 20.7 onces and I have a lot of other tricks or items to drop weight off of the RC51. I'm going for a 60lb weight loss and still keep stock bodywork, lights and tank.

Re: Under hung caliper kit

do you have any pics of your mods??? I like to see. I and in the process in making a custom fuel cell under the subframe, just need it welded. I am trying to loss the most weight that I can. Did a race wire harness, ( many hours there ) relocated batery, cdi, ecm, rectifier ( changed to a ninja 250 ) guted airbox, no filters just screen, carbon snorkal, cable clutch converition, ( have not tested yet, need fuel cell first ) made fiberglass tank skin ( needs alittle body work but look good and made strong ) lost over 12 pounds in the tank mod. choped subframe, thats about all. want some light weight wheels but do not have the money. I like to get a few more ideas what else I can do to light it upo more. I removed all other brackets, body, light, smog, fans and crap to loss wieght too. Also like to get lighter rotors but money is the problem again, since I have a baby comming.
Thanks
tim

Re: Under hung caliper kit

You can see some of my stuff on my web site WWW.SCOTTSMS.COM in the store. I have around 60 mods done to my bike and not everything I have done or sell is on my site as I just haven't had the time to update it. The Galfer rear wave that drops 3/4 of a pound is $120.00 and Breaktech make some really nice stainless rotors.

Here is a pic of the ceramic rotrs I'm putting on the bike next, they will drop around 5-6lbs for the set off of stock.

Here is more information on the rotors. They retail for $1100.00 each and pads are $120.00 for a complete set, but I can get them to you for less.
