According to: http://www.termignoni.it/listini/lis...a=RC+51&marca=

The SP1 is what the whole world (except the USA) call the RC51. Im curious... I have the SP2 (2004)... would any of those pipes be ok on my bike? Im sure that would cause a bit of a stir... my bike being catrol honda colors (red white and green) and what with me living in Italy and then if I were to stick Termi's on my bike!! Anyone know if they would be ok?

Picture of them on the SP1

Re: Termis on the RC51

We call them SP1 and SP2 also but what is really confusing is we call the RVT1000R and the VTR is a Honda Hawk while Europe calls them a VTR1000R (I believe). That said the pipe is different on a SP1 and SP2 I am pretty sure.

Re: Termis on the RC51

The mid pipes are definitely different from the SP1 and the SP2. I believe the right side pipe has almost a 90 degree bend where as the SP2 is about a 45 Degree.

Re: Termis on the RC51

The swingarm is different and thus the exhauts are.

Why a Termi? They are great on a Duc, but not great on everything else.

That and I'm sure you will be made fun of by RC51/SP1/SP2 owners as well a Ducati owners as well.

Re: Termis on the RC51

Reason being I live in Italy and my bike is the Castrol colors, and people are always commenting "ahh look its the same colors as the Italian flag!" so I figured some Termi's might be nice.

In actual fact I am wanting Yoshimura pipes (I would get Sato but they are not road legal in Europe... damn!!!!) its just someone in another forum (gbbikers) asked about getting Termi's for his R6 and I found out they are available for the SP1 so was just curious what they were like and if they would fit on the SP2.

So no to Termi pipes then? ok... I will stick to saving for the Yoshimura (or Akrapovic) pipes

Actualyl I heard Akrapovic are letting their standards slip... apparently all their zorst use the same core and just different header pipes.. so arent specifically designed for each bike, whereas Yoshimura are designed specifically for each bike.

Re: Termis on the RC51

Stay away from Yoah. Great if you have a Suzuki, everything else, not real big gains. Sato provides some nice gains. Moriwaki is also nice.

Re: Termis on the RC51

Sato are illegal on European roads or I WOULD get Sato (no question about that!) So I have to check Moriwaki and see if they are road legal...

cheers

Re: Termis on the RC51

Moriwaki is commited to Honda, so they do testing to make sure their products compliment the bike. They also race and use their own products.
