Rad Fans at speed

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether or not the radiator fans have any impact when running at high speeds? It looks like they would block considerable air flow. I have converted my RC to track only and was considering removing them in order to allow better flow. I'm not concerned with the fans effect when sitting still in traffic or running around at 35 mph. No plans to do so. Thanks.

Re: Rad Fans at speed

In case anyone is interested, I removed both fans and am convinced it helped cooling significantly. I saw temps in the mid 230's last summer at the track. This year, 190 is the hottest I've noticed. Last summer I rode in some 90 plus degree days and this year mid 80's is the hottest I've ridden in. I'm convinced the fans block too much flow when running at speed based on these observations. Obviously not a good idea for idling in traffic, but that is not an issue for me.
