| Re: How can I contact Dan Kyle ? 866.667.4925 is the number to reach him. What they're gonna ask you to do is send in your forks in a padded gun case with all the information in there, such as rider weight with gear on, what sort of riding you do, what you want done exactly (springs, valves, etc.) and contact information. They give you a call when they get it and give you a price quote. I asked them about racetech springs and valves, and I think they said about 650 for my 954.
On another note, Roseville Cycle here local to us quoted me 725 for the same deal, except I wouldn't have to take the forks off the bike and then when I come back in to pick it up they set it up for me with me on the bike...just giving you another option if you're interested. |

| Re: How can I contact Dan Kyle ? Yeah, that's what I was expecting too, because everyone on the board here was saying around 400 to 450. The lady who answered quoted me at "around $650" because she said the exact amount they wouldn't know until they got the forks and looked at them. Umm...okay. Whatever you say. But yeah, what I wrote above are the instructions she gave me. Oh, and said to use FedEx or UPS insured, of course. |

Maybe the $650 is because they are requesting Race Tech Valves to be put in? That would certainly add to the cost, and you're actually much better off having Dan revalve the stock Showa valves in the 929/954. The Race Tech Gold valves are garbage. They're made out of bronze, which is a soft metal, and bits of it tend to flake off into the fork oil over time. |
