Advice needed - knees dulling tank!!

Hi. I've noticed that where my knees grip the tank on my SP2, the paint is dulling - guess I'm slowly damaging the top lacquer / top layer of paint? I can recover the paint with a black coloured polish, but long term I'm thinking the dulling will get worse and worse.
I've bought SP2 specific stompgrips, but am not sure that they'll look very nice, so haven't yet put 'em on. Also thinking of Motrax strips and dots or the clear sheet they do, but not sure what way to go.

Anyone use any of these or similar protection? / any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Hedge.

The Tankslapper. A clear non adhesive tank protector for your sportbike.
to save your tank.

Re: Advice needed - knees dulling tank!!

The day I brought my Ducati home, I installed tankslapper, non-adhesive panels to the tank. Can't tell they're on there. On my RC51 I use Stomp Grips clear and wouldn't ride without em...much improved grip with the legs lets me stay loose on the bars for better control and less fatigue.

I used the adhesive Tankslappers on my RC. You could barely tell that they were there.

The removable ones are good, but the potential is there for dust to get underneath and scratch it even worse.

I personally don't like the look of the stomp grips, and wouldn't use them on a street bike. If it's a track bike however, form follows function and I'd probably go with them.
