All right guys i really need your help, not too long ago i installed a undertail kit on the 51 and completely destroyed the abs plastic rear fender it comes with stock.
i fabricated a alternate tray for the battery and ecu, but lost the trunk space, so i bought a new rear fender in hopes of doing the mod the right way. anyways as i was disconecting the battery i shorted out the 30 fuse that conects with the battery, i tuched the positive cable with the negative while the dam thing was conected. so the fuse blew, i changed the fuse turned the bike on and everything seemed fine except for no fuel injection,
the lights all come on, the instrument panel seems fine but no sighns of life from the ECU, a new one goes for about $520.00 so iwould really like to know if thats whats wrong before i spend the cash, as the store would most likely not take it back in case that does not fix the problem,
i looked for other possible fuses but i didint find any.
do you guys have any ideas?

I had to read that thread title twice just to make sure you were in the right place

try getting a used one...... and make sure whoever you get it from gives you some kind of warranty... i had the same problem ( not the burning fuse problem ) and needed a "new" ecu and was told i " needed" a new one, well bullcrap!! i bought a used one for 150.00 and made sure that the people i brought it from said that it worked. they said if it didnt work i could return it. hey my bike turned on!

do you mean that your feul pump isn't priming up? if so then, check your pump relay and your pump fuse as well
