| Anybody have this Undertail? This one: Supersport Undertail
Just curious how the brake light is mounted, or any opinions on the undertail. |

| Re: Anybody have this Undertail? The Mototech and Dussault ones are the same. The link you provided looks like the Dussault I have for my RC51. He made several different styles. |

And I've got high mount pipes that make the little turn signals worthless. I don't like the clear lenses either. They look fine on a silver bike, but not so much with a black one: 100_1767.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I've though about getting red and amber clear coat and spraying them with that. |

I've had an R1, I don't need to try and make my RC look like one. Personally I would steer away from anyone who only sells their products on eBay. A three year warranty is only a three year warranty if you can find the guy. That and I would rather have a quality product that lasts three years (and I don't have to send back for repairs) than a crap one that comes with three year warranty. But that's just me. That's why I am looking at an undertail that uses a stock tail-light, I know that it works. And after my led's get here, I'll be building a couple led boards that fit in the stock housing, and that way I only have to deal with myself if an led burns out, and my rc will once again have a square tail-light and all will be right with the world.
That second one is exactly what I have now: http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...1/100_1767.jpg I don' know if it's a dussault or mototech. Mototech was the only one I could find that looked like it, but the dussaults are exactly the same.
I don't have any burnt out led's on mine, but I'm not really impressed with the quality of the tail/brake lights. They are merely autoparts-store replacement led bulbs (like a 1157 style, if you know what bulb that is), in a cheap plastic housing. Another thing is that they have clear lenses, which might look good on a silver bike, but in my opinion, look like crap on a black one. Clear lenses or bare led's aren't really that great for daylight visibility either. Oh, and for some reason, they were too cheap to design another kind of tail-brake light, because they have little tiny turn signals in them (even though there are separate turn signals) which take up room that the brake lights could be using.
Oh, and you can replace the led's on anything, you just need a soldering iron.
