who sells clip ons with risers? other questions inside.

Ive been looking around and saw that the gilles clip ons do not allow use with there risers.

Im trying to find clip ons with a 1" height raise, but am curious if i really need it? Do i jus need the angle changed to help my wrists?

Also are there any issues with clearance with risers?

if anyone has pics and/or links please post em up

also, cant I change the position of the stock clip ons, for a better angle?

one more, can i get clip ons for another bike that has a 50mm fork? are there any issues doing this?

I'm no pro on this topic, but can tell you what I did

I've got a set of SP-2 forks on my VTR1000 and used CBR954rr Helibars I picked up used for a song on Flebay I have them installed on top of a gull winged 954 top triple, but you'll probably need radial brake & clutch master cylinders to make that setup work without hitting your fairing. It does wonders for the wrists!

Thanks,
Rick C.

I put the Kyle pieces on mine and it made a HUGE difference in comfort. You have to be careful when you put the throttle tube and other switches back on to make sure you clear the upper fairing, it's tight.

i found these clip ons http://convertibars.com/index.cfm but im not sure how much farther i can raise the bars without making a cable or wire tout

anyone try these? supposedly once you get the height right you can pipe cut the height adjustable piece so you dont have it going paralelle with the forks(cleaner look/less chance of being in the way)

damn, that's just about any way you want it, Your right though about the cable/wire issue, that would be the only limiting factor, but that can also be dealt with. And you're going to have the same issue with any risers that go that far anyways

I just put the Heli bars on my 01 RC. I just did a 200 mile ride today and it's very different from stock I can tell you that.

almost 2 inch rise, and 1 inch wider per side
