| changed the suspension settings today At first I just went a full turn out on the punch dots for the comp on the forks. I was at 13 out from full in on the front forks rebound. I changed the front rebound to 6 out from full in.
In the rear I went 2 out from the mid setting and 1 turn out from the punch dots on the rebound for the rear.
WOW what a difference, fatigue is less and the bike can be thrown into turns a lot harder and easier.
I'm still not done playing with the suspension but its a night and day difference. Before, the bike would go over bumps and kick me in the rear and jolt me in the arms.
I checked the amount of suspension travel im using on the front. I'm using about an inch more travel on the suspension then previously and about 3/4 to 1/2" from bottoming out.
I also played around with just hovering over the seat nstead of sitting on it. This bike was not meant to be sit on. when i hover over the seat the bike goes over bumps and is even more flickable in the turns. Its really a big difference. Now all i need is the sargent seat, a pair of height adjustable and angle adjustable clip ons and a undertail. then it will be complete.
If anyone has any suggestions on suspension please post away.
man I love this bike!!! |
