My 2000 RC51 has 25K miles on it now and the clutch does not engage until almost the end of the lever throw. I have a service manual and it shows using a (special tool) to hold the basket from moving while removing the center bolt. Any one have a good idea or should i buy the tool. does the tool work on other bikes?

i have a similar question.... mine was just perfect but here lately it is the same as hahno's(almost to the end) and sometimes it is really close and i just barely have to let it go before the bike is moving.... what the hell? im wondering if it is about that time so i can get the same tool hahno51 is asking about
