Need help/info in rebuilding my SP1

Hi all,

I've wrecked my SP1 during trackday and the worst part is my insurance policy only cover third party (DAMN!). So, after a seriuous thinking and pocket calculating, i plan of rebuilding it slowly.

The wrecked parts (that is visible) :
1. Front fork - bend
2. Rear rim - busted
3. Front fairing
4. Subframe
5. Rear Fairing
6. Undertray

The untouched parts (visibly) :
1. Engine
2. Subframe
3. Swing arm

If you can see from the pics, i'll have a lot work to be done, so please help me along the way. Currently i've bought a 954 fork. Have yet to test it whether it would fit or not. The diameter is the same as SP1 50mm, but the caliper mounting is different. This i have to rechecked.

So, need you guys to pour in ideas or pictures to show me the way.

Wow thats a lot of damage. I am posting a "How to rebuild a RC51 motor" on this site. check it out! I almost have all the parts in to finish the posting. They are pretty detailed pictures. Good luck with your rebuild

I just wrecked mine and looks like yours, sorry to hear about it and just be thankful your ok.

I just started on mine and got all the parts to make it ridable on the street other then a headlight, but there is some guys on here that can help. They have got me back together for about $100 for quite a few parts.

good luck bud!!!! Over here in SA, RC51/SP1 parts are SCARCE!!!! Hope i don't have to do this some day....

wow, South Africa. Thats what I love about these forums, you meet people from everywhere with the same passion. Maybe if the Al Queda members got into RC51s they would realize they are just like us and would cool it.

Again, as we all know, RC51 parts are scarce. My limited option would have to bring me to Singapore, but again, the choices are limited. And im in dire need of a rear rim. Is there any available here and able to ship it out to Malaysia?

Next week, i'll start of with the front fork. I'll keep this thread updated with pictures.
